No sleep til’ Brooklyn!
Back in 1974, a New Jersey couple bought this machine together and for reasons that are beyond comprehension, it sat on display in their dining room for 40 years. The machine was put up for sale and had my name on it. I wrapped in a garbage bag , strapped it down to the back of my motorcycle, and drove it from Jersey to Brooklyn in the heat of a summer monsoon.

A little TLC was all that was needed to make this machine run as new.
Gasket kit from Orphan Espresso
After sitting for so long, it was necessary to give the machine a full gasket replacement—everything from piston to steam valve rings.
Cleaned with acid descaled
The boiler was caked with mineral deposits. It took a couple of baths and a few more hours of scrubbing with a wire brush to relieve the copious amounts of minerals.
Double basket
Reduced bulk at the outlet and the new 3ft length allows the machine to sit close to backsplash with no loops of tangled wires.
